Frank J. Sniegowski, 79, of Mosinee passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Aspirus Hospice House.
He was born in Thorp, WI on March 27, 1937 to the late Edward and Marion (Niedbolowski) Sniegowski, the 4th of 5 children. He grew up in Thorp and later moved with the family to Mosinee where he graduated from Mosinee HS.
After serving honorably in the US Army, Frank went on to earn his credentials as a Master Plumber and Designer. He successfully owned and operated Huski Plumbing and Heating in Mosinee from 1965 until his retirement in 1996.
He married Joan Ziegel of Wausau WI at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp WI on April 25, 1959. For 45 years, they shared a wonderful life. Both loved to travel extensively, eventually spending 6 months a year in the desert southwest in their home on wheels. Frank lost “Joey” to cancer in 2004. A few years later, he continued his travels with his new partner and their old friend, Carol Adler.
Frank loved his friends and his family unconditionally. He had a zest for life and lived it to its fullest, recently stating he had packed 5 lifetimes into this one life. If you knew Frank, you know this to be true.
He is survived by his partner, Carol Adler, his sister, Ann Huls, Thorp, his brother, Jim Sniegowski, Rothschild, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, sister & brother-in-law, Sylvia Davis and Ray Davis and brother & sister-in-law, Dave Sniegowski and Margret Sniegowski and brother-in-law, William Huls.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, where at 6:00 p.m. there will be a rosary service. Visitation will be again from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.bestefh.com.
