Arnold M. Swatloski, 88, Mosinee, died January 15, 2018, with his family at his side.
Arnold was born on Feb. 1, 1929 in Mosinee, to the late Andrew and Mary (Mascotti) Swatloski. Arnold married Stella Ligas on June 14, 1952, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Knowlton. She survives.
Arnold was a lifelong farmer and was employed at Mosinee Paper Corp for over 36 years. He enjoyed riding the four-wheeler through the fields and woods. He enjoyed deer hunting, cutting wood, and mowing the lawn. Attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events were his favorite past times. There wasn’t a family function or gathering that he didn’t enjoy. Arnold was famous among his family for his jokes, one liners, and storytelling.
Survivers, besides his wife Stella; include five children, Roger (Pam) Swatloski, Mosinee, Karen (Tom) Stankowski, Mosinee, Joan (Jeff) Cherek, Mosinee, Alan (Amy) Swatloski, Green Bay, and Lori (Jerry) Ciula, Mosinee; grandchildren, Jackie Swatloski, Jamie Charneski, Ryan Swatloski, Gary Stankowski, Teresa Sanford, Dan Stankowski, Steven Cherek, Stefanie Fleming, Stacy Meyer, Alexandra Swatloski, Sydney Swatloski, Natalia Swatloski, and Easton Ciula; great-grandchildren, Brodie, Cole, Payton, Lucy, Carly, Jada, Abigale, Ella, Cora, Gracie, Alden, August, Helen, Jack, Jerry, Edward, Brayden, and Brenden; and sister-in-law Irene (Iya) Swatloski. Arnold was preceded in death by; a son Gregory; siblings Virginia Fochs, Floyd Swatloski, and Irene Cater.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17 at Beste Funeral Home, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 4 p.m. Visitation will be again Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
