Dolores Ann Swita, 83, Knowlton, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at home.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1933, the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Levandowski) Stark. She married John Swita on April 30, 1955 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Knowlton. After 53 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2008.
Dolores was a homemaker and worked at the former Employers Mutual of Wausau. She was also a member of the St. Monica Society at St. Paul Catholic Church. Dolores enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. Making homemade soups was her specialty. Her faith in God and love for her husband and family was utmost important to her.
Survivors include her seven children, James Swita, Beverly (Joseph) Neiscior, Thomas Swita, Charles Swita, Marie Swita, John (Rebecca) Swita, and Robert (Patrice) Swita; one grandson, Clayton Niewiadomski; a sister, Ruby Malone; a niece and two nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, where at 3:30 p.m. there will be a rosary service.
