Alice M. Valiska, 85, Mosinee, died, Monday, October 10, 2016.
She was born March 28, 1931, the daughter of the late William and Frances “Glover” Daul. She married Charlie Valiska on May. 26, 1951, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee, he survives.
After graduating High School, Alice worked as a Nurses Aid at St. Mary’s Hospital. She worked there for eight years until she married and took up the mantle of homemaker. A devout Catholic, Alice enjoyed going to weekly Mass on Saturday nights, and enjoyed belonging and assisting within St. Monica’s Society at church. She loved to collect antique china and antique dolls. Alice liked to embroider, and the items she decorated could be found throughout the house. She was an excellent chef, who found joy in preparing food. Amongst her flowers, tending to her garden, was one of Alice’s favorite pastimes. She was always up for a vacation with Charlie. Alice was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, who could always be found cheering loud and proud.
Survivors, besides her husband Charlie include; one sister, Bernice Dey, Shawano; two brother in laws, Donald Valiska, Mosinee, and Jim (Nina) Valiska, Mosinee; two sister in laws, Judy Valiska, Wausau, and Linda Valiska, Wausau.
Alice was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Valiska, and her sister, Annabelle Hyrkas
Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Norman Boneck will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements.
