Mary Jane Walkowski, 86, Mosinee, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Care Partners Assisted Living Facility in Weston, after a hard- fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
She was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Bevent, the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Kleman) Falkowski. She married the love of her life, the late Clarence Walkowski, on June 18, 1955, and they lived a beautiful life doing what they loved; farming, gardening and raising their three children. Mary had many jobs in her life from waitressing, donut making, meat packer, office work and factory work. But the one she is most remembered for by her family is a housewife and stay-at-home Mom. Mary took pride in a tidy home and had a green thumb for flowers and gardening, receiving praise for the beauty of her flowers and yard from family and friends. Mary also was very close with her family and loved to spend time with her grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Donna) Walkowski, Kronenwetter; her daughter, Ranee (Jasen) Bahr, Kronenwetter; a daughter-in-law, Susan Walkowski, Wausau; her grandchildren, Keith (Jill) Walkowski, Amy (Brad) Stankowski, Tanya (Chris) Martin, Brandon Walkowski, Bryce Walkowski and Kyle Bahr; her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Parker, Katelyn, Nathan, Lucas, Ashlyn, Bethany and Kenzie; and three sisters, Irma (Richard) Walkowski, St. Germain, Betty (Donald) Bilicki, Peidmont, South Carolina, and Carol Grulkowski, Mosinee. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrin Walkowski, and a brother, Charles Falkowski, Jr.
