Sadie V. Walkush, 88, Bevent, died at home on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Danczyk) Kurzynski. She married George Walkush on April 27, 1953, at St. Casmir, Stevens Point. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1988.
Sadie enjoyed being a dairy farmer. She loved taking care of the cows, tending to her garden and simply being on the farm.
Survivors include two sons, George Walkush Jr. and John Walkush, both of Rosholt; two daughters, Pauline (Myron) Wierzba, Hatley, and Susan (Patrick) Domaszek, Amherst Junction; nine grandchildren, Amanda (Juan) Urrea, Brookfield, Kayla Domaszek, Wrightstown, Alex and Derrick Walkush, Rosholt, Michelle (Dave) Vaughn, Iola, Myron (Jennifer) Wierzba, Stevens Point, Matthew (Danielle) Wierzba, Hatley, Mark (Jen) Wierzba, Amherst, and Stephanie (Joe) Burclaw, Rosholt; and 22 great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter; three brothers, Alex, Ben and Erwin; two step-brothers, Tony and Casimir Kurzynski; and a sister, Martha Lesniak.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Sister Mary Ellen will officiate. Burial will be in Peaceful Rest Cemetery, town of Bevent.
