Derek John Wilke

Derek J. Wilke, 43, Mosinee, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 22, 2020.
He was born on January 4, 1977, the son of Frederick Jr and Barbara (Koss) Wilke, Mosinee. Derek graduated from Mosinee High School in 1995.
His Uncle Carl bought him his first set of golf clubs, teaching him all he knew about the sport. His love of the sport placed him on the All Conference Golf Team 3 years in a row and earning a trip to the State Tournament his senior year. Derek was a fun, loving and goofy person in nature - always looking to make someone laugh! He loved spending time with his family, working on his house, camping, and golfing. Derek was devoted to his dog and best friend, Jasper.
Survivors, besides his parents, include a sister, Kelly Faber, Montello.
Services will be at 7 p.m., July 15, 2020 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until time of services at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
