Dale A. Zimdars, 65, Mosinee, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, with his family surrounding him.
He was born Oct. 12, 1951, in Fort Atkinson, the son of the late Gerhard and Diana (Schultz) Zimdars. He married Jean Pernat on May 6, 1978, in Ixonia. She survives.
We are all given the gift of life, and we’ve been given the gift of Dale’s life for 65 years. He worked and retired from Church Mutual. Throughout his career and into retirement, Dale and his wife loved to travel. He also liked to fish, hunt, camp and cook with his family. Dale was a boisterous man who truly and admirably lived life to the fullest. But anyone who knew Dale, also knew him as a man of faith, a man who respected and was respected, and maybe most memorably, a man who lived to laugh. You always knew Dale was in the building by his contagious laugh!
Dale’s legacy was an impact of lessons in love, trust, life, and not touching his tools. He’s a lasting gift we can all smile about, cherish and take comfort in.
He is survived by wife Jean, his son, Tom (Tammy) Zimdars, and their children, Dylan and Tyler; his daughter, Lisa (Craig) Schroeder; and his son, Gary (Nicholl) Zimdars, and their children, Jaxton and Kashley. He is also survived by his brother, Kurt Zimdars, and his children, Stephanie, Samantha and Kirsten. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerhard and Diana, and a sister-in-law, Bonita.
